There is a large lumber yard at Troon. Large quantities of lumber is imported, kiln dried and then cut into timber. Sawdust is a very obvious by-product of the process. Waste sawdust can be processed into fuel pellets, pet bedding or have uses in pottery.

Has anyone stopped you while you're photographing yet... asking what the heck you're up to?
All these places are within a couple of miles of my house. So far noone has asked me what I'm up to, although I did wait until noone was around before I shot the doggie poop bin!
