Car drivers around the world are having to come to terms with increasing petrol prices (although as a percentage of earnings gas is as cheap as it has ever been).
I am not sure what side of the global warming debate I sit on. I can appreciate the arguments both for and against man's effect on the climate. What I do know is that oil prices are unlikely to come down.
So, is the onus on us to ensure that we don't waste this precious commodity? Whether we like it or not, it is highly likely that the average punter is going to be priced out of being able to drive cars like my father's Jaguar XJ6 4.0S pictured here.

Another effective angle on the subject of waste. This gas guzzling 4 liter vehicle must spew out quite a lot of exhaust fumes every day. Add this vehicle’s emissions to all the other vehicles and its no wonder global warming, though strenuously denied by the “head-in-the-sad-because-we’re-making-too-much-from-oil-brigade”, is a reality. Though I rely upon a vehicle to get around I am annoyed that technology is not in place to have a vehicle which is less damaging for the environment.
Nice dof...great series SigloV!
I love how that shot fades to black at the top. At the angle and crop you chose the subject almost takes on a whole new life of its own. Changing from what it was (the car) to something else unique and interesting.
OH!
I like this angle and composition! I'm so stealing that!
Nice car and a nice bright smattering of all those reds. Great work.
Bring on the electric car. But then we would have to further chew up the earth's resources to charge it. OK, propane. Or solar... Bummer so much of the world is rainy for so long. What can the solutions be?!?! To keep everyone happy, that is?
